SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the Ontario Works/Housing Services Program Manager, this position provides secretarial, accounts payable/receivable and administrative services.

KEY RESPONISIBLITIES OF POSITION

  • Serve as a group leader for administration service activities within office.
  • Process all housing applications, including intakes, updates and annual reviews.
  • Assist with administrative duties for current Housing Portfolio, 1 Rent Supplement Project, and 1 Private Special Needs Non-Profit Portfolios.
  • Serve as a liaison between office and internal CDSB departments.
  • Assistance to ensure continuous, efficient process for administrative services.
  • Prepare monthly summary of all rent transactions.
  • Use of property management software.
  • Post Accounts receivable transactions to Sub ledger.
  • Facilitate/refer on-site property management user issues.
  • To provide administrative backup to others including but not limited to Case Aide, and Maintenance Operational Clerk.
  • Maintaining office supplies.

  • Planning and organizational skills to develop and update programs, participate in strategic planning, develop collaborative partnerships with community service providers.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a property management environment
  • Experience in a landlord-tenant environment
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate applied computerized systems, report requirements, editing and updating, verifying information correct
  • Proficient with applied office information technology systems including Yardi, Excel
  • Must be self-motivated, energetic, well organized with the ability to manage a varied time sensitive workload
  • Diploma in office administration or business administration with related experience or a combination of education/experience acceptable to the employer
  • Working knowledge of residential property management practices, including the Housing Services Act and Regulations, CDSB Housing Services policies, and residential leases


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Bilingualism in accordance with the French Language Services policy
