Key Responsibilities

• Collects ER and clinic charts daily; perform qualitative and quantitative analysis and scans appropriately. 
• Scans outpatients charts, late reports, and other information including but not limited to Lab, Respiratory Therapy, ECG, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy reports. 
• Run reports daily to verify registrations and discharges. 
• Upload ambulance reports into Expanse from the Ambulance portal. Update dates and time in registration module. 
• Answers telephone enquiries, and communications effectively and courteously with the public in English and French.
• Demonstrates, participates, adheres and contributes to a health and safety culture on daily basis. 
• Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient information. 
• Performs related duties as directed by the Manager, Health Records and Privacy. 

Qualification

• Graduate of Medical Secretarial Program or equivalent
• Must have knowledge of medical terminology. 
• Accurate filing and typing abilities (minimum of 50 w.p.m.). 
• Must have the ability to provide services in French and English.
