DESCRIPTION OF TOWN/CITY:

Kapuskasing is a beautiful rural community in Northern Ontario of approximately 9,000 people and a catchment area (Opasatika to Fauquier) of approximately 11,000.

DESCRIPTION OF EMPLOYER:

Sensenbrenner Hospital is a fully accredited 53 bed bilingual family-oriented, community-governed facility dedicated to improving and maintaining the health of individuals within the catchment area from Opasatika to Fauquier.

POSITION SUMMARY:

·       Working within the Hospitalist Program for the Special Care Unit, Active Care Unit and Hospice Suite.

·       The Hospitalist Program provide a wide range of tasks that may be performed. A Physician Assistant can be expected to perform the following duties:

o   Conducting patient interviews and taking medical histories;

o   Performing physical examinations and procedures;

o   Providing counseling on preventive health care; and

o   Performing controlled acts and other tasks as delegated by a physician;

§ Chief of the Medical Staff or delegate

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

§ 2022 Graduate of the McMaster or Consortium Physician Assistant Program

Kapuskasing est une belle communauté rurale du Nord de l'Ontario qui compte environ 9 000 habitants et une zone de recrutement (d'Opasatika à Fauquier) d'environ 11 000 personnes.

DESCRIPTION DE L'EMPLOYEUR :

L'hôpital Sensenbrenner est un établissement bilingue de 53 lits, entièrement accrédité, axé sur la famille et géré par la communauté, qui se consacre à l'amélioration et au maintien de la santé des personnes se trouvant dans la zone de recrutement d'Opasatika à Fauquier.

RÉSUMÉ DU POSTE :

·       Travailler au sein du programme hospitalier pour l'unité de soins spéciaux, l'unité de soins actifs et l'unité de soins palliatifs.

·       Le programme hospitalier offre un large éventail de tâches qui peuvent être effectuées. On peut s'attendre à ce que l'adjoint au médecin accomplisse les tâches suivantes :

o   Mener des entretiens avec les patients et recueillir les antécédents médicaux ;

o   Effectuer des examens et des procédures physiques ;

o   Fournir des conseils sur les soins de santé préventifs ; et

o   Exécuter des actes autorisés et d'autres tâches déléguées par un médecin ;

REND COMPTE À :

Chef du personnel médical ou délégué.

ÉDUCATION ET QUALIFICATIONS :

2022 Diplômé du programme d'aide-médecin de McMaster ou d'un consortium.
